Oak Park Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
The church is located in the southeast section of Decatur, Al., a quaint southern city (pop. 55,805) located on the Tennessee River in North Morgan County.
Our church family drives from several communities in the surrounding area up to several miles away.
We believe that God has called us to serve the residents of Decatur and to share our Passion for the Glory of God in all things for the Joy of all peoples.
We celebrate the fact that we are a multiracial family reflecting God's love for all peoples, races, and tongues. God has seen fit to place Oak Park Church in the middle of a racially diverse city, and He gave us a people to glorify His Name and enjoy Him forever.
We are contemporary in worship. Worship is lead by our Praise Band. We are enthusiastic, lively, happy, and LOUD. We encourage all worshipers to lift up holy hands, clap, dance, and enjoy making a 'joyful noise unto the Lord". Our dress is casual - we are interested in you not what you wear.
